Another reason to hate Wal-Mart

As if putting "mom and pop" shops out of business weren't enough, Wal-Mart is now (somewhat) deceptively selling Guitar Hero 3 bundles with the old X-plorer guitar from Guitar Hero 2! There is supposed to be a $10 price difference in the Xbox 360 and PS2 versions, so at least they're not totally screwing you over. I was surprised that this was even an option. You can read on at the above link how pissed some people were.

Thank God I buy my games at Circuit City and Best Buy. However, Circuit City in my town only carried the bundle.

I was originally going to get the game by itself, but then found out that the X-plorer guitar isn't compatible with Rock Band, and that the new wireless guitar (which originally was supposed to be wired for the 360, or at least was led to believe by some articles) will only be compatible as the bass. I wondered how either of the 360 guitars would be compatible since the Rock Band guitar has some buttons on the lower (or higher, depending on how you see it) part of the neck.

Oh yeah, and it looks like there are rumors that GameStop will no longer sell a product replacement plan for the Xbox 360. This just admits to me that the console does have issues; although I wonder why it wouldn't be offered for the new versions since they have cooler and smaller chips...
