Verizon's BlackBerry Pearl

Last month I posted a blog about Verizon's new cell phone lineup for this fall. One of the phones is the BlackBerry Pearl. I used to have this phone with AT&T, but decided to "upgrade" to the BlackBerry Curve. Much to my disappointment, AT&T has to release the 8310, which is the Curve with built-in GPS (and wi-fi in the T-Mobile version).

Of course why did I make the upgrade in the first place? For the stereo bluetooth support, primarily. Now I'm reading that not only will the Pearl have stereo bluetooth support (A2DP) with Verizon (my family is on Verizon, and I paid a lot of money to go to AT&T), as well as video recording capabilities; but the thing that really peeves me is the price. The data plan for unlimited email/data is $30/month with Verizon (if you have a voice plan too, $35 by itself) and I pay $50 for the same unlimited email/data, but with unlimited text. Am I getting ripped off or what?

This just goes to show that if you want to buy a phone, do a BUNCH of research before you get it!
